FAQs
Where do I start?
Set up a free consultation, so we can go over the best timeline & location for your lesson.
How early do I need to book a lesson before our wedding?
If you’re looking for a few pointers and plan to keep it on the shorter side, I suggest scheduling a lesson a month before your wedding, but please reach out at least 3 months prior to when you plan to meet.
Do you also choreograph parent dances?
Yes! Reach out about a family package (I offer Mother/Son & Father/Daughter lessons).
Can you edit the music to play at my wedding?
Yes, that’s included when purchasing a lesson. If needed, I can edit a version for you to send to your DJ or band.
Do you have a studio in NYC?
I teach from a rental studio in Midtown or over Zoom.

“If you are thinking about booking with Maya and trying to research for other options, stop. I did the research, there is no other service that even compares. Maya was so easy going, easy to understand and one of the best investments we made for our wedding. She simplifies your dance into a couple of main moves and before you know it your wedding dance is ready. Besides her dance skills, she was so easy to work with, extremely professional and brought a very good energy to our space. Forever grateful!”

“Highly recommended Maya!! She was so easy to work with, especially with my fiancé and I located in Canada. We made a date night of the lesson via Zoom and had a blast! Maya was so patient, funny and full of energy. She gave us simple moves set to our first dance song that we could easily remember on the big day.”

“My husband and I booked Maya after seeing her on social media helping with first dances. We didn’t want something overly choreographed but rather help with some easy moves and not looking totally awkward. Maya came prepared with easy moves that would go along nice with over first dance and was a fantastic teacher. She also is the sweetest! Book her, you won’t regret it!”
